Working with resistant clients without hypnosis is very possible. Would you like to learn how to work with resistant clients who try to control you, a hypnotist?
Here is a real story of my client. She called me for a free consultation. During a consultation, I felt that rapport was built. She made an appointment with me.
When Nina (let’s call her Nina) came to my office, it was clearly for me that she is not a person who can be hypnotized or even relaxed.
Nina was very talkative, telling me about her problems (anxiety, fears, and so on). She said that she tried self-programming, meditation, and reading many books, and even a psychologist didn’t help her at all. “Now I want to try hypnosis! Nina said to me.
I did some simple tests for suggestibility, and Nina didn’t respond well. For example, she honestly tried to feel the heaviness in her right hand and the lightness in her left hand without any success.
I thought immediately that I didn’t know what to do next, and I asked her when her problem started.
Nina began telling me more stories from her life, and suddenly I noticed that my client Nina looks like a tired person. That was a sign of readiness for my hypnotic suggestions.
During a hypnosis session, she was trying to relax, but it was not easy for her. At least she kept her eyes closed.
After the session, I asked her how she felt. Her answer was:
I feel good! But I have to tell you, Alexander, I already found the solution for my problem when you guided me with some questions. Anyway, I felt very relaxed while in hypnosis. Thank you so much!
So as I said before in my previous posts, hypnosis is not important; suggestions in the form of questions work well if a client is not hypnotizable. Let me ask you now: Will you be effectively working with resistant clients without hypnosis?
My name is Alexander Ivlev. I help consulting hypnotists improve their service so they could increase their income.
