If a hypnotist could have the power then he would be busy all day long helping clients. Right? Of course! But the truth is, only highly hypnotizable people can achieve great results in just one or several hypnosis sessions.
In reality, a consulting hypnotist can’t select only highly hypnotizable people to work with, because a number of clients calling for an appointment are usually small.
In contrary, a stage hypnotist is able to select the best candidates to work with, because a lot of people come to watch the hypnosis show.
So what to do? The answer is, you, a consulting hypnotist, should stop trying to hypnotize your clients! Think for a moment:
A client needs to be in a somnambulistic state of hypnosis only if you do an age regression. Also, of course, if your client needs to be anesthetized for surgery, you must be sure that somnambulistic state of hypnosis is achieved.
Here is the scientific truth: The hypnotizability doesn’t depend on some hypnosis technique or a hypnotist. Only about 10% of all people are able to experience hypnosis deep enough to feel no pain during a surgery.
As you understand now, in order to stay in business, a consulting hypnotist has to work with clients who don’t expect to be hypnotized in the first place. It means, they know that hypnosis is not magic.
The suggestions are very important, not hypnosis!
Then the question is: How to attract those clients who know that hypnosis is not magic? Here is my answer: Those people who needs your help will schedule an appointment with you, if you are good at helping people with suggestions!
The fact is, people don’t choose hypnosis as a first possible solution to their problems because they don’t know how it works. Only if nothing helped, people may choose hypnosis as a last resort.
Now you see that if you advertise hypnosis then your potential client always will be expecting hypnosis from you. And if your client heard every word you said during a session, he she is sure that it didn’t work for them!
Realize that some people think that they know about hypnosis more than you, a hypnotist. They watch youtube videos or read some books.
So you need to stop focusing your attention on hypnosis, if you want to improve your service, in order to increase your income. Instead, focus on a solution to your client’s problem. And if you do that long enough, sooner or later you will attract clients that are easy to work with.
Anyway, hypnosis is just a condition of increased suggestibility, in which your client can accept your suggestions without resistance. But your suggestions has to be accepted by your client’s subconscious mind even without hypnosis. You need to be able to create that kind of suggestions suited for your particular client.
Does it mean that every hypnosis technique is useless? No, but if your income is poor because you can’t attract good clients, you probably believe that you need to learn more powerful techniques. Right?
Here is the fact: Anyone can learn how to hypnotize. It takes one minute or less. Learning what to say to your client takes time and effort. Forget about the hypnosis scripts.This is stupidity! Your rapport with your client will be gone in seconds as soon as you start reading a script.
